Project Overview
Maia Consulting provided medical equipment planning services for two major projects at AdventHealth Apopka in Florida.
Fifth Floor Buildout
A $26.3 million expansion adding 30,230 square feet on the hospital’s fifth floor. The buildout includes 38 new inpatient beds with cardiovascular progressive care beds and four dialysis bays, increasing AdventHealth Apopka’s total licensed bed count to 158. The expansion created over 100 new jobs and addresses increasing demand for complex care within the Apopka community. Opened April 2024.
Infusion Center
An $8 million state-of-the-art outpatient infusion center featuring 17 infusion bays, two isolation bays, an on-site laboratory, and an on-site pharmacy. The center treats cancer, autoimmune disorders, and additional conditions requiring IV therapy. Previously, Apopka residents had to travel over 10 miles for this type of care. Opened May 2023.
